Educational Scholarships Offered by the TBF

Since 1987, scholarships amounting to more than $5 million have been awarded to Baptist young people to attend educational institutions.

The TBF is committed to helping Baptist students in Tennessee afford a college education by offering various scholarships.

Scholarship Program

The Tennessee Baptist Foundation Scholarship is honored to use designated funds to provide annual scholarships for qualified applicants.

The deadline for scholarship applications has passed. Applications for the 2025-26 academic year will be available on January 15, 2025.

Give to the TBF Scholarship Fund to invest in future generations.

TBF SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS

Scholarship Applications are available online from January 15 thru April 15 each year

Deadline for applications and supporting documentation is 11:59 PM Central Time on April 15

Scholarship Committee meets to review applications and award scholarships

Scholarship recipients are notified in July each year

TBF Scholarships range from $500 - $2,000

Applicants MUST apply for the scholarship each year

TBF SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS

Applicant is to be a resident of Tennessee for at least one year prior to making application.

Applicant must be classified as a full-time student in an accredited college or university for undergraduate study, or an accredited medical, dental or pharmacy program.

Accepted by a seminary affiliated with and supported by the Southern Baptist Convention.

Applicant must be a full-time or part-time student in a master’s or doctoral degree program. NOTE: Scholarship amounts will be awarded based on number of hours taken each semester.

To have and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

Submit a testimony and letter of recommendation. The testimony will include ministry service within the past year.

Please Note

Previous Applicants MUST provide a NEW PARAGRAPH in their testimony stating how God has and is working in their life and ministry. Also, Previous Applicants will submit a NEW letter of recommendation from a different person, preferably pastor or minister.
