College and Medical Scholarship

The Tennessee Baptist Foundation Scholarship is honored to use designated funds to provide annual scholarships for qualified applicants.

The deadline for scholarship applications has passed. Applications for the 2025-26 academic year will be available on January 15, 2025.

Requirements

Applicant is to be a resident of Tennessee for at least one year prior to making application.

Applicant must be a member in good standing of a church cooperating with the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.

Applicant must be classified as a full-time student in an accredited college or university for undergraduate study, or an accredited medical, dental or pharmacy program.

Applicant must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Since need is a criterion for evaluation, household income must not exceed $125,000 ($150,000 for families with two children in college; $175,000 for families with three children in college) as verified by your FAFSA Electronic Student Aid Report (required for application).

Supporting Documentation Needed

Copy of most recent grades showing cumulative GPA. (High School students are required to send a copy of their transcript)

Copy of FAFSA Electronic Student Aid Report (full report) DUE TO ISSUES WITH FAFSA PLEASE GO AHEAD AND SUBMIT THE APPLICATION AND OTHER DOCUMENTATION. Send FAFSA once you receive it to bsneed@tnbaptist.org

• Submit a one page testimony

• Submit reference letter from pastor or other church leadership. NOTE the reference letter must be from a non family member.

Please Note

Previous Applicants MUST provide a NEW PARAGRAPH in their testimony stating how God has and is working in their life and ministry. Also, Previous Applicants will submit a NEW letter of recommendation from a different person, preferably pastor or minister.
