Special Project Grants
From where does the money come for Special Project Grants?
Faithful Tennessee Baptists have left portions of their estates to the Foundation for such purposes. Grants are awarded from the income derived from those memorial funds.
How may I apply for a Special Project Grant?
Are Special Project Grants available to support established ministries in a church or association?
No. Please read the “Special Project Grant Guidelines” posted on this website.
What is the amount of grants?
Each application is thoroughly reviewed by the Foundation’s staff and by the Executive Committee of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Grants are awarded on the basis of the guidelines, scope of the project and need.
Does the Special Project Grant have to be repaid?
No. The grant is a gift to encourage and enable the ministry project. The Tennessee Baptist Foundation does offer loans to churches and associations of the Tennessee Baptist Convention.
