bobby-hancock

Bobby Hancock

My name is Bobby Hancock, and I am humbly honored to be serving my second TBF term. In 1971, God allowed the greatest person, next to Jesus, to enter my life and heart. Her name is Vickie, and on February 7, 2021, we have been married for 50 years! God richly blessed us with two children. Leslie is our adopted daughter (one week old), and she has two children, Zayne and Aly. Then God blessed us with Lacey. She is our special needs daughter, and always says “I love my life!” If everyone loved Jesus like Lacey loves Jesus, what a wonderful world.

My lifelong career path was hospital administration. It started at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson, MS, then to North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS and ended at Baptist Memorial Healthcare System, Memphis, TN. After that career, God shared with me His vision to start a ministry/business dedicated to helping faith-based ministries save valuable dollars for their ministries. Part of His plans, in coming to Memphis, was to attend Bellevue Baptist Church. I am honored to serve in multiple positions, and humbled to have served as Deacon Chairman twice.

Why I serve on the TBF is mostly because of its rich history, and all it stands for, that allows me the rewarding opportunity to continue its legacy of love. Since 1964, my life scripture verse is: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He promised to direct your (my) steps, Proverbs 3:5,6”
